Ines is a London based artist and textile designer. With an artist mother and film-maker father, her parents did not object when, aged four, she started to paint on the walls of the family home. Her joie de vivre and energy come from her Argentinean, Italian and Scottish DNA, and are expressed in the vibrant colours and dynamic lines of her prints and designs.
After an Arts Foundation Course in Fashion and Textiles at Central Saint Martin’s, Ines took up a place at the University of St Andrews to study History of Art. In 2020, she won a scholarship to spend a year at the University of Padova, where as part of her degree, she completed MA courses in Islamic Art, Medieval Manuscripts, Archaeology, Tiepolo and undergraduate courses in contemporary and modern art.
While in Italy, Ines made frequent trips to Venice, which was magically empty due to Covid. After lockdown, she travelled to Lago di Como met textile makers and choose materials for her designs. She has produced a series of foulards and pareos which reflect the colours of Northern Italy, Venice, Milan and Argentina. This limited collection is truly unique, with striking designs and the best, most luxurious materials. This spring, she will present a new collection ‘voyage’ of tubular silk foulards and illustrations.
